About us
JDQuilts is a family own and ran business by a mother and son team.

Jean Godwin is a well known local piecer and quilter who started hand quilting and piecing in the late 80's.  She bought her first longarm in 2002 and started doing hand driven pantographs for people at that time.  Now she leaves all quilting to her son but she still loves piecing.

Dewey Godwin is a well known longarm quilter who started doing customer quilting in 2014.  He free-hand guides the same machine his mother bought in 2002 producing hundreds of custom and edge to edge quilts for customers each year.

Dewey Godwin also rents time on his backup/demo machine for customers who wish to quilt their own quilt tops.  He will give you advice and help you learn how to run the machine as is needed.  His only rule for this machine is that you must use his thread as it is included in the charge for renting the machine for the day which is resonable priced at $25.00 per day.

Not only does this duo offer quilting service for customers but they also offer the use of their 2400 square foot studio to people who wish to have retreats with friends.
